Doug Potts & Ruth Tucker
Missouri Department of Economic Development
International Trade & Investment Office

Ninety-six percent of the world’s consumers live outside the United States, so if a US business is only selling domestically, they are reaching just a small share of potential customers. Exporting enables companies to diversify their portfolios and to weather changes in the domestic economy. During the past 25 years, US exports have made an important contribution to our country’s economic growth – increasing five-fold from $224 billion to more than $1.1 trillion. Exports have created over 10 million jobs in America.
The Missouri Department of Economic Development (DED) provides a variety of services for businesses seeking to begin or expand their export efforts. Join us as we learn more the about current trends and outlook in international trade, their impact on Missouri industries and what the DED can do for your business.
Doug Potts provides trade, corporate recruitment and international business planning services in the Southeast Asia, Korea and Japanese markets where he has led several trade missions.
